Ernst Klatenbrunner was appointed the position of Chief of the Reich Security Main Office. He controlled the SD and the Gestapo after Reinhard Heydrich was assassinated. By having this position he was found guilty on charges three and four. Three being war crimes and four being crimes against humanity. He was found not guilty on the first charge because he did not plan war and he wasn’t tried on the second charge because he obviously didn’t wage war. Klatenbrunner was one of the major people a part of the “Final Solution”. Officers under his command killed over four million Jews. For this his punishment was death by hanging.

Interview:

Me: Ernst, I am reporter Drew Johnson.

Ernst: Good evening.

Me: I am going to ask you serious questions about the war, please answer them as truthful as possible.

Ernst: Sounds good.

Me: Ok, so, the verdict, do you think it is fair, your sentence of death?

Ernst: No, I do not. The Jews and Gypsies need to be exterminated; they are vile and despicable races.

Me: So you think that it is right to genocide a group of people because you dislike them?

Ernst: Yes, because the world would be a better without them, they are not equal beings to us.

Me: Do you think that it would be right if German Nazis were being massacred because a group didn’t like you?

Ernst: That would never happen, we have done nothing wrong. We are trying to make the world Jew free.

Me: Would you do anything different now that you are sentenced to death for your actions against the Jews and Gypsies?

Ernst: No, I would not our plan was flawless, unfortunately, though our Armed Forces were not able to invade Britain which was a draw back.

Me: Did Hitler make a mistake by not pulling his troops form Pas de Calais to Normandy for the D-day invasion by the Allied Forces?

Ernst: Yes, if he wouldn’t have been so ignorant we could have stopped those fools at Normandy and exterminated all the Jews and controlled the entire world.

Me: If you were Hitler, would you have brought over all the troops to Normandy?

Ernst: Well I would probably have at least pulled some of the troops over for some support.

Me: With no regrets?

Ernst: No regrets.

Me: Well, thanks for your time.
